Have you ever feel that you failed some stuff even though you know that you are so talented? Or you feel that your hard work only producing some craps? In other words, no matter what you are doing there is always negative thoughts and inferior feeling. If that is the case, you might suffer low self-esteem.
One main reason why I failed to maintain my previous blogs was that I could not appreciate myself. I always love to write but I conceived my contents were not good enough. Although nobody told me whether they were acceptable or dreadful, I tend to accept those voices out of nowhere. In the end, it turns out into okay it is not good enough, left them. In other circumstance, sometimes I feel that my friends have a better job than me. Nah, there is the worst point. I started comparing myself with others.
Having healthy self-esteem is the foremost for a positive life. You might see some people with high self-esteem although less talented will be more successful rather than the talented one but having a low self-esteem. As for myself, I realised that I will not get anything done without a good confidence and self-appreciation. Through this blog, I have set my goal: to start a positive life and to share every bit of it. To actualise that, a healthy self-esteem makes my prior to-do-list. Below are several things which I am working on to help me keep on a positive life:
Put positive mindset. You are valuable. Start appreciating yourself from simple things. Get a proper haircut, put on fancy clothes. Get yourself proper hours of sleep. This also includes getting rid of stuff you don’t need. Life with fewer distractions provides more focus to things you should do.
Be Confident on What We Are Doing
Don’t be too critical of yourself. The great Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”. Work toward your passion and embrace every result as an achievement.
Contribute to Others
A research says contributing for others is the most effective way to improve the self-esteem. A person will hard to think himself worthless if he is useful for others. Hence, his confidence and positivity will grow. Whether it is a voluntary work, join a charity, or simply helping some friends will boost our self-esteem.
Some of the above remarks might not work for you. It is understandable as everybody has their own methods. Find that works for you because many have proven that a good self-esteem acts as a foundation for a positive life.
