It is great to talk about minimalism because it is the first inspiration and the reason why I start this blog.
Throughout my searching, I read many sources on how to make life positive and meaningful. Numerous great ideas are so inspiring. I tried to apply and work them all but I did not feel the expected impact. Perhaps the methods were not working for me.
I was wrong. The reason why they were not working was that I simply overlooked the real problem: the life clutter. My life was already too much occupied by stuff and activities I don’t need. I did not realise they consumed too much time and energy so that the method I intended to live was ineffective. We can’t work on a messy desk, aren’t we?
The rules are simple. Get rid of the unimportant: disadvantageous stuff which filling up your life. And keep and cultivate the important: the ones which help you to achieve your life’s goal. It applies to all. Physical things at your house, list of activities, the food you eat, into relationships.
The more we have, the more energy will be spent on that stuff. Sometimes when it is too much, we will have the sense of life is getting hard to control. The less we have, the easier the life will be to control. More time and energy will available.
Less distraction, more meaningful life.
